Market expansion · Managing Partners

Lead Mom+Pop in your market.

Mom+Pop MRKTNG is expanding to new markets. We’re seeking senior, well-rounded marketing leaders to join as Managing Partners, working alongside our current Market Managing Partners to help lead, grow and steward the business locally.

01The role

Not a junior role. Not a sales-only role. Not a traditional agency job.

This is not a junior role, not a sales-only role, and not a traditional agency job. It’s for veteran marketing professionals who want to apply big-brand experience to small businesses, nonprofits and local change-makers — with care, clarity and purpose.

Today: Seattle, Portland, San Diego, Austin, Atlanta, Charlotte/Carolinas, Boston/New England, Miami, Washington D.C.. Next: yours.

Who this role is for

  • Have 15+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, brand or client leadership roles
  • Came up through agencies or in-house teams where you had to be scrappy, resourceful and cross-functional
  • Have “been there and done that” across strategy, client service, creative development, planning & execution, project management, and media planning & strategy
  • Are deeply human, collaborative and service-oriented
  • Care as much about how work gets done as what gets delivered
  • Want to build something meaningful in your local market — not chase titles or ego

03What we look for

A veteran-led model.

Traits we look for

  • Sound judgment and calm leadership
  • Comfort saying no when something isn’t right for the client
  • Strong communication and follow-through
  • Humility paired with confidence
  • A track record of long-term client relationships
  • Genuine care for small businesses and nonprofits
  • Alignment with Mom+Pop’s people-first values

If someone is flashy but transactional, or talented but ego-driven — they’re likely not a fit.

This role is not

  • A junior marketing position
  • A “figure it out as you go” role
  • A pure sales or commission-only role
  • A traditional agency grind environment
  • A fit for someone early in their career
04Apply

Five confident yeses.

Before applying, you should confidently be able to say:

  1. I have led real clients strategically, not just executed tasks
  2. I can speak fluently about strategy and execution
  3. I understand the realities and challenges of small business budgets
  4. I have served and managed clients successfully for more than 2 consecutive years
  5. I love working independently and can not only serve clients but source prospective clients

If the answer to all five isn’t a confident “yes”, this may not be the right opportunity for you.

Small businesses and nonprofits deserve senior-level thinking without agency bloat or ego.

Managing Partners are the stewards of that belief — locally, personally and daily. They are the key to the success of a market and the service of its clients.

Before you apply, can you say yes to all five?
